The Cat Lady contains strong adult themes and is recommended only for players over 18.

From Harvester Games, The Cat Lady follows Susan Ashworth, a lonely 40-year old on the verge of suicide. She has no family, no friends and no hope for a better future. One day she discovers that five strangers will come along and change everything... This suspenseful psychological horror game features stylized artwork, a simple keyboard control method and English voice acting, plus a compelling, atmospheric 70 minute soundtrack by Micamic.

The Demo works under Linux/WINE (only a short test, and I didn't try the full version yet).

However: apparently, there's an (early) Linux version on Steam (EWWWW); in one of the discussion threads one of the developers wrote:

So it seems we'll just have to wait.

BTW: when I complained about the missing Linux download link after buying the Daily Royale "Phoenix Bundle", support told me the game is actually Windows-only and was labeled "Linux" by mistake.
(And they promptly refunded my purchase, so I had to re-buy it....:-))

So, apparently even Desura/Indie Royale are confused about this... :-)

I see, not surprised. As far as i know, Adventure Game Studio was ported to linux by community, that why Gemini Rue and Shivah was recently ported too.
Its just a matter of time until all AGS games will be ported.

Hi!
I was just wondering where I can get my Steam key? I bought TCL awhile ago on Desura, but don't remember getting a Steam key. I tried right clicking on the game in my play list to see if there was a "view cd key" there like another game I have that came with Steam key, but it doesn't. Please let me know! BTW-I LOVED this game, and rated it a 10, plus wrote about it on my blog here on Desura profile. It has been awhile since I played it, but I loved it so much, and am going to play it again. I also loved Downfall which I played after TCL because I had not heard of it until I read up about you guys. I hope you have more games like these planned for the future, because those two are definitely in my top 10 games ever! =)

I found the Steam key...it is a sorta roundabout way but if anyone knows a faster way to get to the "your collections" page of Desura, then that is where it is...just scroll down to where you see The Cat Lady and next to it you will see "keys," click that and then it will be blank, click "get" and it will give you your Steam key. For those of you (like myself ) who cannot find a logical way to get to the "your collections" page, click the blue desura icon tab (to the left of your profile pic), then hover over "tools" and select "activate game cd key or gift," then at top of page highlighted in blue, click "received a gift," then at the top of that page also highlighted in blue click "your collections." Follow the above instructions and get your Steam key =) There must be a better way to get to that page, but even after I knew where it was, I couldn't figure out any other way LOL..Anywho enjoy!

Found it! I was logged to Desura from Linux, and apparently it shows only the games for the OS you're currently logged in (well, doesn't that suck?). I logged in from Windows and there it was, just like you said. Thank you very much for the information, and thank you very much to the developers for both keys.

My collection is empty, so it is no possible for me to retrieve the Steam key. I also bought The Cat Lady some time ago, and I would love to replay it using my Steam account. Any ideas on this?

@Chudah21 That one is *probably* safe. But you never can tell with Valve. You can only "tell" if you're creating AAA games... Sep 9 2014, 8:58am
Bah, looks like we ran out of Valve credit. So it's back to greenlight... :( Sep 8 2014, 6:16pm
I just decided to play a game of risk and use Run and then open "iexplore" (most exploited EXE in history?) & boy was that a barrel of fun. Sep 8 2014, 10:07am
