Aftermath is a hl2 mod which involves the player killing waves of the undead with your friends or alone using weapons, your knife or even blow them up with grenades and set them alight with Molotov's.

So we've been wanting to get a server and metaloid gave us the chance but after hours of searching and contacting server hosters we found that our mod could easily be installed but because of the recent update to hl2:dm (steampipe) most or all servers have upgraded with it so the mod will not work on them.
So the only way is for me or someone else to host of there own server or pc this is an obvious problem since my computer is not very good and i would love to host but it wouldnt be 24/7 and it wouldnt have a good connection ( anyone outside of england will probably lag ) it is also not good enough to host multiple servers or handle a full server.
If anyone knows of someone who can help then please send them this way or even if you know of a hoster who can handle hlds dedicated servers instead of the new steamcmd servers.
Can we get an estimate as to when 0.3 is gonna be released? Also, did you put the m4 defender back into the game?
i did but the fire anim is broken well it looks crap for a LMG so ima have to fix it.
0.3 should be released in june but until then ive got things to do:
finish powerups and combo
new zombie anims( jumping over barriers, better walking, removal of classic anims as its breaking the zombies )
fix defender
get textures for combo and powerups
add incendiary bullets
theres the obvious things such as maps and fixing up moddb and new sounds
if anyone is worried about the new hl2:dm upgrade to steampipe it should not affect the mod as it doesn't need any hl2:dm resources so it shouldn't be trying to access hl2:dm gcfs.
I tested myself and deleted all my gcfs and re-downloaded source engine 2007 and the mod works fine.
currently working on an zombie kill combo system as an replacement for the pickups, after getting a number of kills in a fraction of time you will get an pickup and after each pickup the time extends and you have the chance to get the next combo.
for example after a kill the running time extends a lil and if you get another kill it extends again and after so many you'll get a pickup, if the running time runs out the combo ends. after getting the pickup i suppose ill make it harder to get by making the time extension smaller.
This system will reduce lag, allow us to easily add more "pickups" and add more re-playability and competition with team mates and yourself.
