Rise of Mankind: A New Dawn is an expansion of the existing, and incredibly popular Civilization 4: Beyond the Sword Mod, Rise of Mankind, by Zappara. Rise of Mankind attempts to simulate history, but was not intended to be a perfect historical simulator, like Rhye's and Fall of Civilization is; instead it follows mostly historical lines, but allows for those "What-If" scenarios to occur. Rise of Mankind serves as an expansion from Beyond the Sword, adding a huge new technology tree, putting great importance on buildings and creating infrastructure, along with incorporating other successful mods, like Revolutions, Influence Driven War, Next War, and much more.
The Goal of Rise of Mankind: A New Dawn is to provide the player with the same enthralling experience that Rise of Mankind gave, without forcing any unwanted features or constraints onto them. This goal has been the central piece in all of A New Dawn development. This means that every single feature is completely optional.

Better get the Caveman2Cosmos Mod, it's still developed and it includes Rise of Mankind:A new Dawn, just sayin^^.
i can install this game but its buggy and crashes alot
Is there a way to edit what techs are in the mod? I know there is a way to play only to the modern era, but I like a lot of the future era too, it's just when you get to techs like anti-aging medicine, thought scanning, **** superior, mind uploading, sentient earth, etc., it gets a little weird.
Basically I want a way to edit what techs are in-game so that I can make the future be more like the near-future/remotely plausible stuff, like cybernetic augmentation, cloning, possibly interstellar travel, advanced robotics, minor gene manipulation, etc. And less of the weird brain uploading, sentient earth (how's THAT gonna happen!?), nanotechnology (not because its not plausible, I just don't like how it fits with the gameplay), kind of stuff.
Don't everybody answer at once...
It's seems this place has been abandoned. I wonder where everyone has gone. I cant stand Civ 5, but is that where everyone is ?
this Civ game is better than Civ V.

If installed from Desura, do I get RAND 1.75C or do I have to manually install the patches? How do I know which version I currently have?
You can right click it and select "view changelog".
Desura version is v1.75C at the moment.
