This mod is alright, there are a few bugs and glitches i get performance drops everywhere just about
Yes, that's the worst side of CryEngine 2 - bad optimisation. The level has about 6 times more objects than the usual Crysis levels. Unfortunately, we couldn't do anything to prevent lags. Too many objects on the level.

You should use Patch 1.2 for Crysis.

It's a free play mod, but you can also complete missions. Though, you aren't forced to play the plot, so it's a real sandbox.
