Starfare is a real time strategy game with a Space/Sci-Fi scenario. The game is about capturing Asteroids and holding them to gain resources and bring down the enemies. The tricky thing is that the Asteroids may not always be static.
There are 12 missions with a (hopefully) exciting background story as well as the possibility to create custom games. A nasty AI will accompany or fight against you.
You can play as one of four factions which can be picked by yourself in a custom game, or which is predefined in a campaign. All of them have different properties and advantages.
A maximum of 64 players allows you to witness gigantic battles with like 24 different units.

It has already been a year since Starfare has been released. I have been impressed by all the feedback I've read so far and and really want to thank you guys for playing the game.

Oh wow, I feel bad that this game hasn't been on my radar for so long. Especially since it's moddable! I think I may have to look into making a mod, this could be fun. I played a Skirmish in the vanilla mode and enjoyed myself quite a bit.

Wow, I played Starfare awhile ago and really liked it. I return now and... holy crap the game looks awesome now! Downloading...
I seem to be having a problem in making the game go into full screen. The task bar remains visible when the game is running so I can't pan downwards in game.
That's a pity... You have possibly enabled "Taskbar always on top" or something like that. Anyway, you can scroll as well with the arrow keys or WASD.
Disabling "Taskbar on top of other windows" worked. I didn't even realize that there was an option for that. Thanks.
I just played Starfare. It's a very playable game! I like it a lot. It does require a bit more development. But when that's present, it would be awesome!
pretty awesome game. but it keeps crashing with a memory violation error.
Unfortunatly there's quite a bunch of players with that problem. Hopefully I can fix that in a patch...

Plus, there is yet another (board) game, named Starfarers of Catan. Anyway, Starfarer is a great game which is really worth taking a look at.
