Retrovirus is a Descent-inspired six-axis shooter, with levels designed to force players to think off the ground and out of the box. Its pacing is similar to classic shooters like Quake and Unreal Tournament, and agile movement is at the core of the experience. Retrovirus also features a unique arsenal of weapons that do more than just dish out damage. By scanning residual weapon effects in the world, you can create gravity wells, knock enemies around or trigger charged blasts on groups of enemies. In Retrovirus, you are the Agent of an anti-virus program fighting against a viral army that has rapidly taken over parts of your system. Called on to respond to the crisis, you must defend the system and remove the virus before it can corrupt and destroy your world. In doing so, you'll explore a surreal software environment that pieces fragments of human reality into the fabric of its own world.

A question to the developers, this game is still in beta yes? If so, if there any kind of estimate to a full release date?
Retrovirus has already gone 'Gold' and released on Desura, Steam, GameStop & Humble Store. Patches continue to be rolled out very frequently. We are continuing to add content and improve the game by taking in player feedback. Another cool thing is that the multiplayer/CoOp is independent of platform meaning you can play with your friends across any of those store platforms. Get in on our play nights. Visit the Facebook pages: facebook.com/retrovirusgame & facebook.com/cadenzainteractive
But please make the game install in standard Desura folder and not onto the C: drive. This is a MUST if you have redirected the Desura folder to another drive.
Other than this the game is great!

Nice!
Well, this looks very interesting. Hope to see a demo soon if possible :)
Well, this looks awesome, and I never even played Descent.
The Cadenza dev team is cranking away on wrapping up development now that the holidays have wrapped up. I'm excited to say that primary development will be over in about a week. We have a series of testing weeks scheduled... and then Retrovirus will be all done and wrapped up. As we wrap up we will be extremely busy and I'll do my best at answering questions. Let me know what your thoughts are :)

During our early Alpha phase, a demo was made available to our Kickstarter audience... however the current build of Retrovirus has progressed significantly since then and we have been focused on polishing the beta since releasing on Desura. Producing a demo would take a significant chunk out of our development time, as we are shooting for a Jan 2013 launch. However, Texx0101, I'll bring it up with the dev team and get back to you. Thanks for the suggestion!
