Thank you for taking the time to check out our game, Realm Explorer. You may not know it by looking at screenshots or videos of the game, but we're just 2 guys.

By being involved in the alpha stage of our game you can be very influential in what it becomes.

And we’d like your help... all you have to do is tell us what you think. We only have a handful of players, so your voice isn’t going to be missed.

Maybe you have a hard time figuring something out once you are in game, or you don’t like how we did something, or you want to see something added to the game. Maybe you’d just like to tell us you like the game (we really like hearing that).

Either way, send a message to support AT realmsource.com or join the forum realmexplorer.com and tell us!

Thank you again,

Matt & Charles

Hi Herotigo,
We have a lot of new stuff that has been in progress that we're working to release soon. We have a new way to spawn / respawn entities into the world (anything from plants to NPCs). Currently we have sheep that walk around and that you can kill (that will eventually respawn) but there's still a little more work to do.

We also just completed 6+ months of major art development (tons of new player artwork like armor, clothing and new weapons) and a lot more.

We're also working to revise the way our websites are setup so we'll soon be starting a regular blog series at www.realmsource.com

Thanks for the question and I hope you enjoy what we've been working on when it's ready!

Will the development of the game change to Unity5? Or will this game stay in the old game engine?

Hi Johanjan,
Currently Unity5 is in beta so we are awaiting the first production release of the new engine. When Unity 5 is out of beta we will be evaluating it and will most likely upgrade when it's ready.

I bought the alpha in a groupees bundle april 2013. Took a quick look at it, deinstalled it and thought "ok, come back in a year or so".
Back then, there was also a comment here saying mobs will be implemented very soon. I think it's safe to say I won't miss the first feature complete beta if just check in christmas 2015 again ;-)

Hi Develyne1,
Thanks for trying out Realm Explorer! We're definitely doing a LOT more work on building and it will be improved a lot in one of the next few patches (probably not the very next one but it's a high priority). Doors and other building improvements will be worked on as part of the upcoming building improvements but they aren't presently in the game.

The dice button was a button we had in the original few releases of Realm Explorer to generate random resources to craft with. We no longer have this as both our crafting system and scripting system have matured and we have been working to make resource gathering (such as chopping wood from trees) make sense.

We just posted a new video a few days ago showing some of the additional upcoming resource gathering in the form of harvesting cotton (as well as planting and growing cotton plants) which you can see here:
Youtube.com

We're working on this (and more!) for the next patch.

There aren't currently enemies to fight but we have been doing a ton of work over the past few months to prepare for them (we have a LOT of the artwork done and more is on the way right now). You CAN fight other players presently but we're also going to be doing a patch called the "combat patch" which significantly improves combat as well.

Thanks for your questions! Please let me know if you have any more and I hope we address all of them with each new patch we have on the way!
