Nine deities. Nine heroes. And only one champion. Mythical Greece. The land of gods, poets, heroes, but also of terrible monsters and creatures.
Numen is an action RPG set in mythical Greece. The player controls one of nine heroes, who in the name of the gods they follow compete in a grand test of their capabilities. Heroes who undertake a pilgrimage over the highest mountains, through valleys and deep forests, underground vaults and the scorched sand of deserts.
Numen however is no mere hack-and-slash game. It offers the player the possibility of tactical decision making, searching for enemies’ weak spots, selection of adequate weapons. It rewards those who are able to adapt to the changing situation on the battlefield. In this the player is helped by the unique powers and abilities invested in him or her by the god he or she follows, provided that the god is happy with him or her. The Olympian gods, after all, are renowned for their wanton and unpredictable nature…

Hey look, apparently there's a demo on steam! Store.steampowered.com
EDIT: Oh, it looks like Luka already said that :P
i ussualy automaticaly track any medieval or old greek- kind of game, but this one seems awesome!
This is hands down the BEST rpg here on Desura. I got it on Steam and I loved it. We had the chance to talk first hand with the developers on the steam forums and they're cool dudes that really put love in their games.
They even fixed some bugs we've found a year after the release of the game.
If you like hack'n'slash games, and you're in search for a light RPG with a nice plot and even some clever puzzles, this one is for you. Just keep in mind that's not an AAA title, so can be a little rough around some edge. Totally worth that price but if you're on the fence grab it when it's on sale here or on steam
I have searched for a Numen patch for the Desura version... but am having a hard time...
I contacted the team via website feedback, we'll see if they respond.
I finally contacted a developer about Numen. He basically said there would be "NO" patch for Numen in the future because the programmers are not available.
He was very nice replying to each issue I was having with the game.
But unfortunately I grew tired of playing because it became extremely difficult to progress when all the enemies regenerate.
They come back anytime you load a level, cave or dungeon... and they come back after you die. So there is no way to make progress if you keep dying.
I think the graphics look amazing. They are taking full advantage of Direct X 9 and it should be able to run on any machine or laptop. On top of that... the only other RPG that has a Greek/Roman theme is Titan Quest. Ands its pretty cool too.

I agree with you...outdated graphics..this should be a freeware.
the words "should be freeware" makes you look like a total douchebag, as probably you are. You need to learn something that's called respect of other people hard work.
What the heck do graphics have to do with anything?!
Anyway, I haven't heard anything about this game, and there's no demo, so, I'm not going to play it.
Actually I got the demo from steam... quite a good game, but not something I would pay much for...
