From the creators of the highly acclaimed "Juniper's Knot" comes "Dysfunctional Systems: Learning to Manage Chaos".

Dysfunctional Systems is a visual novel series featuring Winter Harrison, a student mediator from a utopian world. What is a mediator? A mediator is a person who travels between chaotic worlds, attempting to resolve the issues plaguing them. The first entry in the series follows her second mediation, where she shadows the experienced and aloof mediator: Cyrus Addington.

"Dysfunctional Systems: Learning to Manage Chaos" features two distinct endings, unlockable bonus art, an animated opening video, and a jukebox of in-game music.

Quite rare (actually, VERY rare) to find a Western VN worth playing (and one that isn't a simple tutorial for NScripter or a Ren'Py demo).

Fortunately, Dysfunctional Systems is one of them. Nice characters, very realistic scenario (if you watch CNN or read the newspapers, you will understand why), excellent art, and decent music. However, I can't understand why Winter is so beyond dumb...

A pleasant surprise from that Groupees Doujin bundle. Well worth the buy IMO.

Yeah, I hope she'll get smarter in the second episode. I think the devs wanted her to be cute that way but, well, she's not.

Oh no, I just read the latest blog post on the developer homepage. Very bad news there, no more game development from the dischan team because the game did not generate enough money :( Some sponsors should offer them nice deals because they did a great job I think.

They are doing a Kickstarter to finish the series and it's looking like it will succeed.

Just started playing it, but it has that typical faint screeching sound that you get in menus of games that are super-light for your graphics card. Anyone got any idea on how to fix this? I usually manage to get over it, but here every animation triggers a different screech (e.g. text, moving character, using the menu) and it's extremely distracting. Maybe I'll try without headset or something similar, a hardware solution.
Using win7 64bit home, intel i5 2500, AMD 7870, 8gb ram.

I went to the Groupees page (I purchased the bundle a couple months ago), but there's still no Steam key there. What's the problem?

As far as I know, you have to sync your Desura and Dischan accounts, there you will find a Steam key.
