I found the low resolution annoying and dug around and found by changing the file named gameInstanceSetup.ini in notepad to something like this:

[Resolution]
resolutionX=1920
resolutionY=1080

;fullscreen=1
fullscreen=1

;end of file.

the game runs in fullscreen and at a higher res thatn the default 1280x720 or whatever it was set on normally.

Well there are People that run Crysis in Wine perfectly.

As for Myself, If I were to do linux gaming, I would install Windows in XEN and use VGA Passthrough. Not because I like linux better (but I do) but so I can save power.

When I'm not gaming high end games that need windows and my 4870, I can just unplug the power to my deticated card and use intergrated graphics for light gaming or no gaming at all. Because Windows goes nuts whenever I try to go back to intergrated.

But eventally, I will not only have to use wine, I'll have to use QEMU too. (like the Mac people use rosetta) One day, x86 wil be dead (arm will take over the desktop) and I don't wanna buy all my games again for Arm. By then, my 5-year-old games will work fine in wine and QEMU. (I know a guy that plays Quake 3 PPC on his mac pro, so this should be no problem)

That's like reporting that it won't run on your Windows ME laptop because it's too laggy..

I'm with you. There is usually an indication that there is a release for Linux. I say just wait it out as opposed to trying to put a round peg in a square hole.

It's also for any other linux users who were thinking of trying the same thing, not simply for the developers.
