WazHack is a procedurally-generated dungeon game. This is not a button mashfest - you can spend all the time you need contemplating your actions. With over 300 different types of items to be found, there are many different ways to deal with the more than 130 different types of monsters. You will have to use your sword or staff as much as your inventory. It's not a game of plodding to the end and winning (though it is winnable), it's about experiencing the attempt... and learning lessons that will help your next valiant attempt!

Curious if i buy this on desura, then it comes out on steam, do I have to buy it again? I"d rather not even though its cheap.
Im 33 years old, (old fart I know) and basically I am looking for friends to play some multiplayer matches with, feel free to add me on here but is there a specific place to go to find mp compos. Also i could get in MP via the windows client but not via the web client, basically on the web client it says have to update purchase then "Thank you" with waiting underneath
This game is SO EPIC!!!
Good luck with getting on Steam too!!
So I purchased a WazHack bulk pack, get login/password, entered it on the site, then sent 1 invite to my friend (he got his login/pass). After that, I activated my code on desura.
My friend entered his account, and got exactly the same key as myself. So he can't activate it here, on Desura. Moreover, after that, I can't even login to my account at Wazhack.appspot.com getting "Unknown email address or incorrect password"
This is sad :-(
The problem was solved very fast! Thanks Waz! The game is great, btw
So - just to clarify if I got this right:
If I buy a key here, it is usable for the web-interface, windows and (forthcoming?) mac version.
Does this also apply to the android-version, or goes that one separate?
Or vise versa - can I purchase via android (more comfortable, because I can do this via mobile phone bill) and get the desktop versions, too? That would be awesome!
* Desura for Windows/Mac/Web (all by the one key)
* Google Play Store for Android only
* Apple App Store for iOS only (coming soon)
It's mainly like this because of the Play Store terms and conditions (and Apple App Store is even stricter). The mobile version is also a little cheaper.
Can anyone help me with multiplayer?
I have allowed it in windows firewall and opened
udp and tcp port 22104.
But it does not work :(
Why so serious? ;)
I urge you to give this game a shot, the trailer doesn't do it justice at all. I was not impressed either by it. Is it possible to make a great trailer for a roguelike game anyways? There are some serious and nasty bigger enemies as you get deeper. Don't think he wanted to spoil too much in the trailer...
Though I think a very good trailer needs more dramatic music and needs to build up to create a moment, and also has to spoil a few more things than this one does. Game has enough content to not be spoiled.
I think the player character models being a bit more on the non-serious side, rather then bad-*** looking heroes, does fit the gameplay when you will be running away quite often from the tougher monsters right when they first appear on screen (usually if you're smart..), and maybe even at times your character literally gets stripped down to their underwear, after a certain enemy keeps swiping stuff from your inventory....
You are spot-on there: most of the exciting moments in any roguelike occur when you have to stop and think ... which doesn't make for much of a video!
