Is the tile goat picture in the boxshot inspired by the animals on the Ishtar gate from Babylon? It strongly reminds me of the stuff on there. Musushus and things.

I've been playing this one for quite awhile.
Tempted to get the Xbox indie version just cause I can.
Shame I missed it last year.

The overall design is very well thought out and very well crafted.
Blocks move only when a switch tells it to or you control the mechinism itself using that sidekick mouse.
Its very clever.
Challanging stages also have me playing again despite how frustrating it can be.

Also love the music, brings me back to the early PC games on CD back when they were first popping up and some games got a release with an added on CD Audio sound track.

If there was a sequel I'd hope it would be the same thing but as one big metroidvania castle to explore.
Only way to improve this is to up its scale me thinks.

Good job guys, bravo.

OH and BTW I had a little trouble getting this installed through Desura. Installed fine the first time but had curropted files so it wouldn't run the actual game, just the editor.
I kept uninstalling and retrying and it eventually went through.
Well worth the trouble.
I assume it was a curropted download but it was certainly odd.

I also had issues with getting it to work via Desura.
I downloaded the manual installer instead and that worked out fine.

It's a great little game. Some levels have that Portal level of makes-you-feel-smart when you finally figure out the puzzle. I love it!

The original design was actually for an open world like you describe. Check out this early prototype: Youtube.com

During development I decided to focus more on puzzles in a linear progression, mainly because backtracking through puzzles wasn't very fun. Some day I would like to do this style of game though.

Sounds like a corrupted file problem, but if anyone else reports it I will look into it and make sure the files on Desura are OK...
