One of the best mods for half-life 2 on this website. Most mods you play as Gordon or a rebel but this one let's you play as the civil protection. Now this mod has new weapons, enemies and items. I won't say what they are because you should try this for your self, now this mod is short about 1-2 hours long but its so good I would replay it again
With the Next update coming out soon that will have females, i thought i would add a bit more to this review.
For those who are looking at the game wondering if you should buy this, i would say yes and no.
First the reason why not to buy.
If your not into games that are still in development then no, don't buy this game. As of right now its gonna take a year to two years to finish Kenshi, It has bugs and glitches and a few issues with game play, but in all, that's normal for a game in Alpha.
Why buy the game?
Well for one its not like any other game you have played before. its a original and still developing and after each core update it gets better with more items added to expand your gaming experience. Another Plus is the fact this game is in Alpha Stage of development. which means you have a voice in helping fix or suggest new ideas to add to the game. Or talk about what features are good and which ones are bad so as to help improve the Game as it develops.
Game Start ( Holy Sword Start )
You find a legendary sword. one of the best you have ever seen, no other blade compares to its ability to slice through anything. including yourself since you have no clue how to actually wield this weapon you have found. If that wasn't bad enough, 2 major empires want this sword for them selves and they plan to kill you to get it. Time to learn how to use this pretty toy you have found before it becomes the death of you.
You are not special, you are not the hero or the villain, you cant slice through everyone in one swipe, in fact roving bands of bandits dot the landscape. Even the weakest out there can easily over power you, you are gonna have to work hard to train yourself up to handle a weapon, wear armor, even run.
Dont expect to start the game and run out and start killing things, for you cant, they will kill you instead until you have decently trained yourself. You will need strategy to survive.
Mental Omega is one of the most effort-filled mods I have ever had the pleasure to experience in my decade in the Command and Conquer modding community. The latest build 3.0 has had so much work and effort put into it and it really shows, a huge improvement over the old builds in terms of bugs, graphics, gameplay and pure quality.
There is very little I have to say about Mental Omega which is negative, but there are a few tiny things that irritate me which is mostly due-to personal pet peeves so it's nothing that anybody else should really be getting worked up about. There are some kinks in the armour here and there and some small things which could be improved upon but as a mod leader myself, I am aware of how much work it takes to iron out all of the creases in a mod and how likely it is that somebody will be unhappy one way or another.
Mental Omega is truly deserving of its current fame, and it is a pleasure to see classic Command and Conquer mods still going strong, especially mods such as this one.
This is an amazing game! It's addictive fun all the way! It would be a 10/10 but there are tiny things that annoy me in the menu. There should be a replay leve option in the pause menu, also escape should pause the game. Other then these tiny annoyances it's one of the most fun games I've played so far... it certainly is in the top 5, extremely well worth it'S low price!
I love this game for many reasons. It has a really cartoony and polished looking art style that really does it for my eyes. I also like the custimization, pets, classes, and the unique talent options. True the talents aren't revolutionary, but I found them more than sufficient for my rpg needs. The mods make this game that much better like the mods that improve the difficulty, that add new mobs and bosses, and a lot of other mod choices. I did find some of it a little too easy in Vanilla, but of course there are mods that you can add to challenge yourself a bit more. The price is fantastic at $20 and free online play it is a steal. Overall I would reccomend this game to any rpg fan that enjoys a more "Open World" type of rpg with dungeons and mobs scattered around the world of Torchlight 2.
I really enjoyed this game thoroughly from capturing castles to meeting enemies out on the field. The battles and fighting was one of the things that really turned me on. I also enjoyed managing my towns and villages and modifying them to make it a little more convenient. The only reason I did not give it a 10/10 is the story... It wasn't very in depth and I found a few things repetitive. I however still really enjoy this game for the mechanics, gameplay, and a few small things that they added that just really impressed me. I'd also like to reccommend downloading mods with desura for M&B. It makes downloading mods very easy and fast. Plus this game is mod friendly, which allows a lot of potential for the right modmakers!
Simple game mechanics that make for addictive gameplay. Definite time killer. There is a skill element that isn't readily apparent when you first play, and suffice to say, pointing and clicking isn't all there is to it. For cheap as free, try it hey why not?
The graphics are great, but when zooming in, you won't say that again :3
It is a GREAT game. only the community died since FoC came out.
There is only ONE sound missing i would realy love to hear in a Star Wars game: The Wilhelm Scream.
Probably everyone will agree with me :D
I've played this few weeks after The Cat Lady as I really loved this game of Screen 7 studio. And I can't say that I was dissapointed. Actually, I find the storyline even better than The Cat Lady's one. Of course it's hard to compare as the stories are quite different but in Downfall I didn't run into any ridiculous situation which may violate may common sense.
But be careful! Despite of the fact that it's released in 2009, this game looks like an old-fashioned quest from 90s. That means that the technical part is just awful. I spent about an hour before I got used to it. I didn't find the majority of quests incredibly interesting neither. It was something I had to endure to enjoy the story and the ambience.
...Which are amazing! Plus the game offers a few difficult moral (and intuitive?) choices to make. So I definitely recommend this game to anybody who have no fear for the "out-of-date" quests.
