Not bad over all its a great improvement over your earlier works but their is still some room for improvement. For example properly animating the firearms to have both regular and empty reloads along with weapon scripts that take into account weather or no a round is chambered would really enhance the games gun play.

Also as I said in an earlier post properly animated player view models IE the body and arms capable of interacting with props "being able to see your arm pick up the prop for example and use it in dynamic ways either as a weapon or tool" would be truly original as not even valve has attempted anything like that before.

Valves early HL2 brickbat system was the closest they ever got but they scrapped it during development.

also instead oh having to hit the PC soldier helmet to get it off why not let the player just press the use key and simply take it off? Not sure if that's been already implemented yet so yea :P

I can only imagine that there were most likely a TON of bugs to squash in getting this to work the way it did in the video. Can't wait to play through any sneaky levels you guys have created!

Actually, I could show you this level in real time, and it would still work well.

Sure the AI has it's limits, and it's never perfect, but it's fun to play around with...

Models, Materials and Sounds are compatible with any Source Game/mod.

It's source engine stuff..

The scripting on the other hand, was specific to SMOD.

SMOD was made as "GMOD" for gameplay, it was pretty much a sandbox of a game where anyone could cutomize their own experience for themselves.

We don't intend to do exactly that, first and foremost we want to create a good game, and are making all these tools and improvements for the game itself.

But we also want to share our work and encourage people to use these new tools to create their own experience, and share them with us and the community.

Are you saying you're going to release the source code to the general public? Because this AI behaviour has so many varying possibilities ranging from action to survival horror! This would be amazing to include in a weaponless survival horror game

And Mxthe was telling me this will feature a damage system for you as well.

You can break legs, arms, ect, and you'll now die very quickly.

Melee only does one hit kill if the enemy is unalerted...

Think of it as a "silent takedown" system.

Arkanium Aug 21 2012, 5:46pm replied:

Is there the possibility of making "silent takedowns" truly silent? Even just a short "Ugh!", rather than a whole sentence would be an improvement, and you could probably make it less likely to alert to nearby enemies too.

If everything goes according to plan, there will be more than just one melee weapon.

And each will have it's pros and cons.

Love the ai and all your mods but the level just seems to be lack luster, I mean you need to get a pro mapper to add some extra details etc just to give it that final touch of realism. As for the actual gameplay "Top Notch"
