The Dawn of the Tiberium Age is a stand-alone Tiberian Sun to Tiberian Dawn (C&C 95/Gold) total conversion for which I tried to capture TD's feeling as good as possible (both concerning graphics and gameplay) in classic mode, while giving the player a lot of fun new stuff when playing in enhanced mode.
Although this mod has been released it's still being worked on, so expect updates from time to time.

DTA 1.11 multiplayer maps
A lot of new terrain has been added to DTA 1.11 and this new terrain has been put to very good use in the many new maps that have been made.

In my opinion, you should give civilian buildings proper names, at least for FinalSun. It would make it so much easier when placing buildings on maps. For example, I've modifed the rules.ini so that civilian buildings have the following names:
- 'House' (for single houses)
- 'Houses' (for pairs of houses)
- 'Stone Building' (for those grey desert buildings)
- 'Shelters'(for that tent-like desert building)
- 'Cabin' (for that little red house with the doghouse)
- 'Cottage' (for the other little red house)
- 'Barn'
- 'Civilian Factory' (for that relatively large grey building with the red roof)
- 'Grass Hut' (for single huts)
- 'Grass Huts' (for pairs of huts)
- 'Well'
- I also renamed the haystack "Field" to 'Haystack' (for the single haystack) and 'Haystacks' (for the pair of haystacks)
Just a suggestion.
I'm not finding any difficulty with building villages in FinalSun. Although I have to say I'm not really micromanaging with the buildings, I just place all kinds of different buildings on a village on suitable locations.
Save here when I make missions for C&C 95.
Any working fix to get rid of the massive lag the tib sun game engine gives for Vista & Win 7 users? Seriously I can't even play it as soon as I have like 6 buildings & 6 units on the field it gets unplayable. :(:(
Most Vista & Win 7 users can play TS perfectly; most of our staff is using Vista or Win 7.
Try to lower your resolution and graphics, disable sidebar icon darkening, and try closing background applications, especially ones that could draw things over the game window.
@Rampastring:
Most Vista, Win7 32bit users you mean... I tried all your suggestions already they have no effect. Damn somebody really needs to write a drawfix for the modern Windows systems & for 64bit systems as well. :(
I'm using Windows 7 64bit, actually... I'm having no issues at all.
I'm also using Win 7 x64, and on two computers. No problem with the TS engine is caused solely by the operating system; usually it's a combination of an operating system and the GPU causing the problem. A rewrite of ddraw.dll that'd be properly compatible with all of today's popular OS/GPU combinations would be nice though.
Usually you'll have problems when running TS with a low-power device like a tablet or a notebook, especially if it has a low-end GPU like an Intel integrated graphics processor. Almost all discrete GPUs should be fine though, I've only read about problems with Nvidia's GTX 5xx series.
Just right-click the shortcut on your desktop and go to properties, then go to the Shortcut tab, click Change Icon, then click Browse, set the file type to All files in the bottom right corner, then browse to DTA's folder, double-click on dta.dat, click on OK and then on OK again.
There's no need to first download the icon from somewhere else (plus the icon on Mod DB I linked you to is smaller than the one dta.dat contains) ;)
O.O
DTA.Dat has the icon in it? Well, I'll be damned! Sweet!
