AT 30,000 FEET... you are almost 6 miles (9.7 km's) above sea level. The human body is not made for these conditions. Temperatures can plummet to -60F (-51C), the brain is starved for oxygen and each step is a new experience in pure agony. It's difficult to breathe. It's difficult to think. It's difficult to move. And you still have to endure another 444 feet (0.14 km's) to get to the peak. So much for the good news. STORYLINE: SURVIVE the SUMMIT ...The rebels are losing the battle against the strider onslaught that keeps growing. To help turn the tide of war you need to destroy the source of the Striders. That source is at the summit of what the rebels call, StriderMountain. There is only one way to get into the mountain geography and it's extremely dangerous terrain. The danger proves to be too much and you are forced way off target. Now, you must fight your way through the Combine Mountain Base Camp because it's the only entry to the mountain...

sorry for my late reply Guest, but i don't look here that often anymore because it is a old mod of mine. And i have made so many mods that it is hard to track all comments on them.
Am nearly done with my latest 18 sp-maps new mod, called Episode 3: The Closure.
to answer your question, my new mod starts were the original HL2 ep2 ended. that is also why it is called Ep3.
it will be released end next month.

i am a bit confused by your comment MisterGravity, because you say;
long and tedius and well created.
hopefully you will like my new 5th sp-mod more, it will be released quit soon. its called Episode 3: The Closure.

I'm torn between how long and tedius this mod was, and how well created it was. Excellent machinery, concepts, enemy placement and lighting. But also, my wrist hurts now. Is it just my imagination or are your maps longer than the original games themselves?
I dunno, but I can tell you this: Valve needs to hire you right now. Great job guys.
thanks indeed Skizzo, like TB said!!
it's nice to hear that even after a 3 years that we did complete and upload this mod it still is played and liked so much.
maybe you are interested in our 4 other HL2 sp-mods, please just check our mod section and you find them there.
And after 2 years we are about to release our last new sp-mod, called Episode 3.

FINISHED!
I just finished this mod, and I gave it a full 9!
It is the most extraordinary HL2 Mod I played so far. The amount of work, details, ideas and fun is just amazing.
Saying it is HUGE is not enough. It is like a long story, full of twists and turns.
It is like "Half-Life 2 Born Again" :-D
Thanks Skizzo. We really are glad you liked SM and appreciate the compliments.
thanks you guys, for the nice compliment.
should you want to play any of the other HL2 sp-mods we made then please check the Mod button on top and you find the 4 other ones.
And, in about 2 months time i will release my latest sp-mod for HL2 ep2, that i have been working on for the last 2+ years, called;
HL2 Episode 3, (the CLosure).

I must say this is a damn good mod. Sure, the map quality is HL1-esque, and the cinematics are somewhat annoying to sit through more than once, but the sheer size and gameplay make up for this.
I'm puzzled by the, ah, lack of puzzles, however. By which I mean non-combat puzzles.
Anyway, good job.
