Sikkmod is a general enhancement mod for id Software's 2004 FPS: Doom 3 and its expansion pack: Resurrection of Evil. Its main purposes are to update visuals of Doom 3 to a more modern level and to allow the user to customize various aspects of the game to suit their preferred styles all while maintaining the core mechanics and aesthetics originally put in by id Software. The mod also includes a number of fixes to and better organization of stock files in order to create a clean and more stable base for future mods

These screen shots do not give this mod justice. Here I am almost 10yrs later playing this awesome game. Not only does this mod greatly enhance how it looks, but it can also change game play. Night vision googles with a finite battery life, give the enemies variable health, make their hits inflict variable damage, change an ammo clip and left over ammo from old clip isn't magically added to new clip, increase random spawns, etc. I have made Doom 3 impossible to play....and I LOVE IT! Games like Bioshock and other FPS gamers are so easy these days. This mod brings back the impossibility of constant enemy bombardment. This is what makes a game fun IMHO when it fights back and makes you want to throw your monitor out the window.
Hi, awesome mod, but I'm having a very unusual problem. When I run the game the mod works perfectly fine except when I change any of the setting in the mod's configuration, they never apply or change anything. And when I move on to the next level all the settings revert back to default. I am running the disk version of the game (Not Steam) and am running no other mods. The only few I really want changed the most is the player helmet, Cyberdemon taking damage from all weapons, and explosion effect. I've searched Google and it seems like no one else has this problem. And yes, I've installed the mod properly. Does any one know anything that might help? Thanks.
Hi everybody!
I want to play with hi poly models from sikkpin in this post
Doom3world.org (Hi-Poly npc & monster meshes)
But, the link are broken.
So, I've searched and I fouund this mod Doom 3 HD that use these models.
Desura.com (Doom 3 HD Mod)
The problem with this are that mod work so so, I like to play with Sikk mod still, so, I need the hi poly models in a separate pak.
I've tried to extrat them from the Doom 3 HD mod, but the files are dependant with others, and I don't know what files I need to extrat from the PK4s in the Doom 3 HD mod.
So, any aid? help? or halp!
Thanks!
Hey Sikk, is there any way to disable the self shadowing?
Like some others, I personally dislike it, it looks blocky and I would rather not have to see it.
Can it be disabled through any simple console command?
Does this mod work with the Steam version of Doom 3?
It should, as long as it's not the BFG edition
there is a mirror? because i can't download this mod
So, since Sikkmod looks just incredible, as well as Perfected Doom 3 v. 6 does, here's the question: what is actually VISUALLY better? Latest Sikkmod or Perfected Doom 3 v. 6 (latest released version)? Can I install both, and is it necessary, or one of these mods is far more superior to another, so there's no need to have 'em both installed?
Perfected Doom3 just uses Sikkmod for its enhances. But all the other junk it adds I simply don't like.
It's best to just use Sikkmod along with Wulfen texture pack (HD textures).
I agree. there should be a BFG version of this mod, even if I don't mind the graphics of Doom 3. I read somewhere that the BFG edition is compatible with all existing texture and sound mods, but I'm not sure how to get BFG to take to them. Can someone help?
