ive been waiting for this mod for ages like am sure many ppl
when i started the mod the first thing i noticed was the player view wasnt in third person
i tried playing not knowing if it was meant to be like that till i watched a vid on here !!
yeah same here tried looking in the game options to see if i could change to thrid person but the option wasn't there....HOW do you Get in third person????
wait maybe pm_thirdperson 1 command will work
found the problem if you run the mod with the shortcut that it comes with instead of going into doom3 and loading the mod that way it should give you third person off the bat.
Hey guys. I've uploaded the soundtrack. You can get it at music dot bniipotd dot com
One major flaw I noticed was that I couldn't pick my sword back up if I dropped it. The only way to get another sword was to find one that was set up in a map as a pickup.
Since the Icon of Sin was the final boss in this mod what else are you gonna have in the next release of Ruiner? I mean that was a pretty awesome boss, what else do you have in mind?
You can pick up a dropped sword... its just a bit tricky compared to the other weapons. The ! icon will appear on the screen when you can pick it up. Next time around I'll look into making the collision box bigger for the dropped sword.
Thanks. And what about my other question?
Another problem, the bloom doesn't go away, so it looks like I am walking to heaven's light whenever I progress down the map. I have to turn this off, and for some reason it always turns off hdr with it too.
try tinkering around with the console settings for the hdr. it is r_hdr_* If entering lighted areas is too blinded, then this might have to shift sensitivity... when your in dark areas; the lighted areas look much brighter untill you stand inside of them and then they adjust.
