In my last moments with my 3dsMax trial, I've decided I can get the most out of it by improving other peoples models to RotM standards. So, what I've done here is take the Corellian Destroyer models (by EvilleJedi) and have added damage particles, Rotating turrets, a shadowmesh...etc. You get the idea. Anyway, it's the ship in the background there and it replaces the Bulwark Cruiser because I never liked that ship. It functions pretty much the same (deploys fighters, etc.) but it looks better and has more weapons.
It sucks your trial ended... You're really good at modeling lol

If you have a way to back up your models/files, do so, just dont back up ALL of the files, uninstall then reinstall windows/OSX, it will wipe your hard drive and will give you 30 more days of modeling goodness. I do this with Adobe After Effects. By the way, mod looks AWESOME!
Thanks for the praise! As far as reformatting...that's more of a hassle than it's worth for me. I have legal licenses for many programs that I would have to deactivate and then re-active and some of them can only be activated so many times according to the EULA...and then the companies start contacting you...it's not pretty. My computer is my lifeline for school too. I think I'll just go back to what I was doing before I got Max and just model-texture a unit and then send it off to Mobius13, Warb_Null or Filo to export.

blech i didn't like the bulwark either just and ugly looking ship :P the destroyer has prowess.
It looks more like a warship rather than a bloated luxury liner. The distinct Corellian look just makes it feel more 'star wars' too.
you may be able to get a trial version of 3dsMax of a earlier version somewhere.....may not be 'legit' but it also may be 'legit' who knows...*wink*
Well, that is what I was running before...an ISO image that someone gave me. The problem is that the 30 day counter is embedded in the registry and the only surefire way to remove that data is to reformat your hard drive...which is way more of a hassle than it's worth for me.
