Reaction is a Single Player mod for Valve's Half-Life 2: Episode 1. This game is a showcase for the design and artwork of Sensory Overload team. It is a fast-paced third-person shooter, retaining a very light RPG element.
Please enjoy the game!

yes, but please use the same type of servers as insurgency. Myine arent showing up in other games
Eh... no sale. I looked at the video. The gameplay looks too repetative with rooms and hallways that look too similar to eachother. I like the original settings from HL2.
Something about this looks very intruiging. A few of those textures really pop, I'm definetely going to download.
the aiming is off and no firstperson models for the guns?
I really enjoyed this mod. It really differs itself pretty quickly with the 3rd person view. It's a little bit wonky to get use to at first, but after that it is smooth sailing. Also it has a very nice atmosphere.
Level design: I like how it's laid out. It sets up a good pacing and there are just the right number of enemies to make some places tense but without overkill. Although, I think the levels themselves are a bit lacking on details which makes things look a bit boxy and behind the times; Source can handle details - maybe put in some more Art Deco or Art Nouvea themes in. Also, the handle/lever has only an outline texture much like just from the UVW unwrap with no shaders or other textures; is that by design, or are you guys still workin on the textures?
I think there are still quite a bit of improvements that can be made on the player's character. For one the walking animations are off from the actual movement ingame, so the character appears to slide around the map. Two, since this is 3rd person, a decent portion of the screen will always be taken up by the character's back, so it would be much more appealing if you guys add some more details to that model to make it a little more interesting.
Played and liked it. That was different from most mods.
Thanks for the comments so far everyone. I'll work on answering them soon, but please be sure to check out the forums too to report anything you might have deemed iffy about the game!
I haven't even heard about this mod before, I think I'll give it a try ;)
ALSO HOW DO YOU LEVEL UP CAN YOU BUY THINGS OR SOMETHING
Leveling up is achieved by killing enemy soldiers.
In the works is an actual experience bar and a buy system, but that may be some time yet before it will show up in a future release. For now, you unlock secondary attacks on your weapons:
Pistol - fast attack, empties remainder of magazine at once
Assault rifle - rifle grenades, uses grenade ammo
Shotgun - powershot, consumes more ammunition, slower cooldown.
