Xonotic is just like this (concept wise). Nexuiz was completely modified quake 2 engine and Xonotic pused it even furthur.
I have to say, Xonotic is much better than Nexuiz and Nexuiz is much better than Quake 2 (graphics wise).
Correction, Nexuiz and Xonotic are based on the Quake 1 engine, not Quake 2.
to answer fatals post my rig goes like this:
AMD FX-8150 Eight-Core proccessor

ATI Radeon HD 6950 2GB Graphis Card
Im hopeing this will be more then enough to run this mod.

wont work for me, when i load the mod it crashes at before opening the menu!
