Welcome to Project Reality: Battlefield 2 (aka PR:BF2), a free to download game modification for the Battlefield 2 (aka BF2) retail Windows PC game. The focus of this mod is to rework the original game engine developed by Digital Illusions of Sweden (Dice) within legal and feasible constraints to create a more realistic combat environment for the gaming community. This includes adjusting various game play elements including physics, visual effects and overall game play formats. Along with changes to how the game handles, the Project Reality team has been introducing British, Insurgent, IDF forces, Canadian, and Russian factions, plus a number of community assisted factions are currently in the works to introduce even more factions to the virtual battlefields. This Mod is not for the masses, due to the fact that it has a much higher learning curve then your classic arcade game. This is the real deal.

Can't wait to finish the download, supposedly this mod is installed in my PC but I think it will consume memory in my HDD but actually not. I have questions guys:
1.) Will this game work on my PC at Medium settings with 100% draw distance? GT 610 2 GB, 2 GB RAM, Pentium Dual Core E6700 "Wolfdale" 3.20 GHz (not overclocked).
2.) Does the weapons here uses real life muzzle velocity? and if there's a suppressed weapon does the muzzle velocity and damage reduced?
1. Are you being sarcastic lol. You have a great graphics card, running on High with 100+ FPS should be no problem.
2. No suppressed weapon, I'm pretty sure the BF2 engine doesn't calculate bullet velocity.
You'll be able to run in high graphics options because of your 2GB of VRAM ;), but due to your low amount of RAM, you'll experience lag when moving fast (helicopters) over dense cities.
This does not apply of course if you have 2GB of DDR3 RAM ^_^
And I don't know about the muzzle velocity... I don't think BF2 engine supports that but maybe.
Well lucky me, I have a DDR3, it's a PC3-10600u, last time I played BF2, I was playing 70+ bots in AIX 2.0 :D, I'm not being sarcastic, I'm just making sure, thank you for the answers. Also I tried to play with the muzzle velocity in vanilla BF2, you can see the bullets travel as long as you have tracers on it, I think BF2 doesn't round up the numbers in projectile velocity unlike the Rate of Fire of the gun which rounds it up like if you put 950 it'll turn to 1200 I think.

I can play this PR(BF2) all on HIGH with no lag, I'm talking about the rumored PR cry engine game.
Nice, im on my old pc, with a Nvidia 6100 nForce 405, old thing, can play on low too, just lowest draw distance, and when in combat it lags a bit though which saddens me, where do you go to school, I need that pc O.O

Project Reality 2 ...?
Yeah, and it looks awesome. PR:ARMA3 and PR2 in the works, happy to know that I'm going to have some good FPSs to play in the future!
I doubt my PC with integrated graphics can run that :(
