I thank everybody, give an update on the next release of Portal Pro, and post a video walkthrough for those having trouble with specific levels.

Fewest portals challenges, along with fewest steps and least time, almost always involve solutions that went against my design philosophy at the time. I didn't want any part of the mod to require anything beyond the basic portal skills including peek-a-portal. If I set goals with this mindset, they would be trivial for most people, but if I go the other way and require the absolute minimum, they would require glitches and Object off a lot of players. It completely depends on the audience.

"Explore", for example, can be done in a minimum of 1, 2, or 3 portals depending on what techniques you're willing to accept. 3 is only mildly interesting for people who don't peek-a-portal, but 1 (requires ABH or item wall climbing) would aggravate most players. It's an interesting design topic, and I'd like to hear your suggestions.

There is a steam thread that has goals for each level.
Based on that thread, the best way to do "explore" is 2 portals.

No problem. Thank you for fast response. Actually to make it working, I just edited the gameinfo.txt file and rename it to all lowercase letters (instead of "GameInfo.txt") . By the way, here is that text file which includes the steampipe: Pastebin.com

Apparently this is somewhat possible, but you'd be missing a lot of assets, and there's no guarantee that the levels would even be completable. I've never tried it myself. Forums.steampowered.com
