Why you are taking "the ships other name"? Because the Boriales is already in ep3?
There are a number of reasons we decided to go with a different name. Valve reintroducing the Borealis in Episode 2 was one motivating factor, as we want to keep with the spirit of having MI differentiated from retail. Also, it's reasonable to assume (judging from the radio message and some old materials) that at one point in HL2's development the boat was named Hyperborea, so it's not like we're just pulling this out of our *****. Lastly, as if we needed another reason: because we can.
