Actually the .fpk is pretty much all the art. I used a new compression method recently, as it saves 80MB for the installer size. The downside is that it takes about 10 times as long for the installer to finish decompressing the bulk of the art that's packed into the .fpk (packing the art into an fpk file allows the civ engine to access it quicker, improving performance). This isn't an issue on new computers, but on old ones it can take a bit; for instance my computer is from 2002 and the installer takes about 2 full minutes to finish decompressing the AchillesZero.fpk. My friend has a modern laptop, bought it last year, and it's nearly instantaneous, nothing noteworthy at all. Because the decompression only affects the initial install, and because it saves 80MB (which isn't trivial), and because it only takes a long time on old computers, I decided the new method is worth it.

Apologies to all Steam Users and people who's BtS copies had signed themselves into the current user registry rather then the local machine, as the LoR 0.9.8 installer messed up and said your copy wasn't updated and aborted. This is fixed now in the new installer. Legends of Revolution 0.9.8b released, mainly to fix the installer issue, but a couple of other bugs that were reported in the 0.9.8 build were also squashed in this updated as well.

This is a minor update to 0.9.8, so 0.9.8b is save game compatible with 0.9.8. Since 0.9.8 was not save game compatible with prior versions (0.9.7c and below), obviously 0.9.8b will not be either, so it is recommended you finish your 0.9.7 games before updating.

As usual the changelog and more information can be found on the mod's forum at civfanatics:

Mod has been updated to version 0.9.8

No real art changes this time, so it should be entirely stable, like 0.9.7c was.

Cool mod but you need the latest version here and you should post more information here. It almost made me not download it.

Mod has been updated. I'm fairly certain all the bugs from the 0.9.7 build have shaken out, and this current release 0.9.7c is worth updating to.

Sorry for the quick release of versions. It's just whenever we update to a full new major release there are always a few bugs that slip through. I'm just a guy getting some help from a friend, so we can't hire a team of beta testers to check for all the bugs, they usually shake out in the first week of a major update. I'm pretty sure all the major issues have been taken care of in the latest update 0.9.7b. There are a couple of minor issues that I'll again post an update to fix in about a week (I want to see if any other minor bugs are uncovered in that time, and also give a user who has expressed interest the chance to do some German translations).

Also I make this mod for people to enjoy, so please spread the word so more people know about and play this mod. And thanks for checking out LoR.

Playing your mod brings hope: that not all the peopple had fallen under the console superficiality (gamebox, PS...).Playing your mod and games like Civilizations is not just for fun, this kind of games are really works of art that can enchance your mind and spirit...
