Half-Life 2: Wars brings the struggle between the human resistance and their Combine overlords to a real-time strategy setting. HLW has been in development since 2007 and last saw a public release (Multiplayer Beta 1.0.4) in March 2011. The Multiplayer Beta, which you can download here on MODDB, requires Half-Life 2: Episode 2 to play and is our very first public multiplayer release! It features 3 game modes: Antlion Skirmish, Antlion Capture the Point, and Overrun, showcasing the Antlion and Combine playable factions. Future releases will include skirmish matches between Resistance and Combine.

They Need To Turn This Into A RTS And FPS In The Same Game Like Nuclear Dawn
theres a mode you can go into to directly control a unit in thirdperson. not exactly like nuclear dawn though
if we just downloaded the source sdk 2007/2006, and do not own half-life 2 would we be able to run this and other such mods that say you need half-life 2? because i got the stanley parable and garry's mod 9 to work without half-life 2.
You could, but the three sides in the game need half life 2 because the models are in that game
Source sdk 2007 includes all half life 2 models/materials.
However it does not include content from Episode Two and we do use some content from that game in hl2wars.
When's it gonna update? I've been stalking this mod day by day and the 2.0.0 update looks amazing.
Do you mean that you've seen some of the 2.0.0 related stuff?

Make sure you patch it from 1.0.3 to 1.0.4, if thats no good try our latest version via SVN from the Hl2wars forum.
