First Person Shooter

Firearms: Source is a team based first person shooter, rooted in the traditions of the Firearms mod for Half-Life. Firearms: Source brings the best aspects of Firearms to the Source engine, and then takes them a step further. You'll see a host of familiar weapons and maps, but you'll find the streamlined game play to be faster, focusing on aggressive, skilled play. From nearly the moment you spawn you can expect to be engaged in furious action.

This game is a Source remake of an old Half Life 1 Mod, titled 'Firearms'.
The Original was released around 2003.
Up until CounterStrike was released (2005), it was the Bee's Knees in FPS Multiplayer. Day of Defeat was released in 2006.
Both CS & DoD have been face-lifted since with the introduction of the Source Engine and carry the name in their titles so as to differentiate them from their original Modding of the Half Life1 engine.

Firearms was up there with CS & DoD but didn't see a Source Upgrade like the other 2 until much, much later.

See this link as it would seem it wasn't ever going too.

I played all 3, a lot! Firearms deserves to have Source in it's title. It was the Mod that had us all jump ship from Team Fortress & had us all vividly watching the HL1 Modders for that next big thing... (CS)

Counter Strike came out in 1999/2000, Counter Strike Source came out in 2004. What are you on about?

I think this is Steamworks/Greenlight worthy, just some minor changes, like the name. You can't have the word source in the title.

Well, games could be listed as mod's that you could download from the website or sometimes straight from steam, but really if the developers want to get some more players, they should really add try to add it as an official game. I guarantee that you wont find an official third party source "game" with a the word source in the title. IF its a good game on greenlight and valve might accept it, then theyll ask to remove source from th name before releasing it (example: Black Mesa: source, was changed to simple Black Mesa quite a while ago)

You need HL2, or any other HL2 stuff I have HL2 death match, and I only got it for the source engine. At this point in time there is only a manuel install for 2.0, just extract the mod files to your steam/steamapps/sourcemods folder.

I've fixed the Issue, but it seems the Alpha server is either down or they have yet to turn it on.

Also none of my textures show up. I'll try again, I will also see if I downloaded the version for dedicated servers which wouldn't have any textures (?).
