do people still play this?
No, it's completely dead every time I get on
I think I got a great idea, what about a Stargate version of this mod, you could both be playing border the enemy capitalship or just capture subsystems, but with Stargate features and classes.
Different maps would have different enemies, usually Tauri facing Gua'uld or Wraith.
God, why would anyone ever do that? It would only make the game appeal to a tiny niche playerbase. I've watched all of SG-1 twice, and Atlantis and Universe once as well as all the movies. I'm saying this because: Stargate mods are always terrible and have never worked. The universe simply doesn't work in a gaming environment, the factions weaponry is simply too diverse to properly balance. It'd be like Terminator 3: War of the Machines all over again.
The "Infernal Silence Official" server has been dead for awhile but is back up again. I had trouble keeping it tracked due to a dynamic IP, but that should be solved now. I hope you will try the server. Thanks to "Ignition-Point Entertainment" for creating this fine mod.
I have a TeamSpeak 3 server for your free use if you play this mod:
bf42reborn.ath.cx Port: 9987
Thanks for the kind words - but Crankshaft Games created this mod . . we merely maintain it ;-)
And add new stuff every now and then.

Judging by the comments it sounds as if this game isn't really played. What's up with that? When I played it when it was first released, I thought it would be like the next popular Half-Life mod which would be purchased by Valve because it was so damn good.
(EDIT: I haven't played the latest versions and stuff because I kind of forgot about it after I got a virus on my computer a while ago. I only played the mod for about 3 weeks and then got the virus)
Store.steampowered.com
The mod is downloaded via steam these days. You should visit the website (http://www.eternal-silence.net)
This game is astounding!
...its to bad though that like no one is ever one the game servers :/
...it gets a bit boring after playing by yourself for a while
So true :/
