The story takes place in Russia at the secret plant called "Object E7" or "Black Star" at the same time as the unexpected consequences at Black Mesa. G-Man was planning to organize three incidents of portal opening originally. First one - at Black Mesa Complex. Second one - at Black Star plant. The third place is unfortunately unknown. But thanks to the fact that the cascade resonator at Black Star was out of order, the planned incident didn't take place there. Object E7 is a laboratory complex researching anomalous materials and organisms. Its academic adviser is Dr.Victor Shmurghe. He has connected directly with G-Man.
The protagonist is a political prisoner who was moved from a jail to Object E7. His main purpose was to test a prototype of the new protection suit H.E.V.5000. But he could escape during usual testing by chance.

great mod
haven't played a mod this good since strider mountian. very original and challenging. the zen scenes are the best iv'e seen. do you have other mods? i'd like to try them. keep up the good work.
For some reason in my download archives I found this, and I never remembered downloading it, then I put it in my Half-Life folder and played it. Overall I think the game was, in a good way, challenging. Sadly it was kind of confusing in the beginning on where to go, and later on I got confused on are the bad guys Terrorists or the Government. It is an acceptable mod to me.
I've noticed some of the Narrations had poor English, but as I think, this was made by a Russian, so I see nothing wrong, but I did laugh sometimes when something was mispronounced and the meaning of the sentence was changed by that mistake.

However I don't have bloom effect, how I can have that? I've download the link in planetphillip but it dosen't work thanks
Bloom is working only with hacked opengl32.dll from "Paranoia" mod. You should place this dll in main Half-Life game folder. But this can cause ban if you playing multiplayer games on VAC servers, so it's better to remove this dll after you finished playing "Black Star". Because of potential problems opengl32.dll was removed from the download. Try to find it in "Paranoia" now...
That's not the same opengl32 dll, Paranoia doesn't have bloom. The opengl32.dll from the Bloom mod can result in a VAC ban, Paranoia's renderer does not.

I've included it in the download. If you wish to use the Bloom just copy paste it from the bloom folder into the half-life folder. Remember to use your delete the opengl32.exe before playing half-life online in steam otherwise you can get VAC banned.
