Centralia is a first-person horror-puzzle game. Our focus is on the artistic side of the game so we have aimed to leave almost none of Valve’s original textures or models in our game. We'll also be adding lots of custom sounds. Some small changes will be made to the source code of the engine but this will remain largely unchanged owing to its complexity.
Jim Fletcher is a curious, young, local journalist looking to make a name for himself by landing an exciting story on the ever-burning Centralia. He will travel from his town to Centralia, where a coal mine fire has been burning for half a century. The town has been abandoned for decades, leaving the eerie shell of a community behind. What will Jim uncover on his quest to make that all important good story?

Developed by Andrew Furniss & Oliver Davies.

Hello folks!

Apologies for the recent silence. We have taken some downtime since university to give ourselves some breathing space. Things are stirring in the Centralia camp though!

Great Intro! I just wish you guys had released the whole thing at once instead of just a teaser.

BTW, this mod reminds me of Nightmare House 2

I loved it it was short sure but very interesting.
If it's a good thing it reminds me of Alan Wake.
Waiting for Part 2, and BTW the doors leading to the generator room are still very bright.
Can you try and tune brightness down maybe?

I can't wait for more content but the fps counter is a little annoying but your team will fix later.

For some reason there is a FPS counter thing at the bottom right of the screen for me.

Also the doors in the first building are completely white and way too bright for me.

Is there any way to fix these problems?

The environment at the start is very realistic , this is a very good job.
The sounds and the acting is very immersive.
I hope in Centralia part 2 :).
