The Battle Grounds 2(BG2) is a Half-Life 2 multiplayer modification based on the revolutionary war. It is the sequel to the popular HL1 mod with even more features and possibilities. The British Army and its Native American tribal allies engage in battle against the United States Continental Army and local militia forces. Interactivity is a very important factor in this mod and team play is as important as ever before. Take aim and fire muskets, prepare bayonets and take control of the battlefield to succeed in your campaign for final victory. Combat will vary from long-range rifle marksmanship to brutal close quarters hand-to-hand melee fighting. You will need a mix of first person combat skills and quick-thinking strategy to survive. So prepare yourself to do battle for your side and to meet the enemy head-on. Only one side can be victorious.

All the servers have password protection
whats the passowrd?
I am good with the sword but I still have many problems with it, I cant hit a person that is crouching on flat ground and is below me, I cant swing the sword while crouching, I cant hit the back of their head with sword even when they are afk(it says hit chest), and sometimes 3 hit in the chest and they survived.
We had a little issue with our download server yesterday so the file wasn't showing up! It's all good now. Have fun!

Melee takes practice. You need to get the timing right, as well as aiming at the person and ensuring you have enough stamina to do a good amount of damage on impact.
THIS MOD ROX BUT the melee got some problem, I AIMED at the enemy chest or head and hit didn't damage.
the developer did a great job, their quite fast on this mod
The meele weapons is not very responsive: I swing it close to the enemy (like 1 ft away, and click fire) I am face to face with him 0.3 sec later, I see my sword swings but no damage is done.(Have to click at point of contact?)
Also the sword is an area of effect weapon, it deal damage to things that gets in its way of swing.( Sword dont make a hole like bullets)
Please improve the realism of the sword.
