This is a very good mod (8/10) but the only thing that really annoys me is that you took scares and ideas from Nightmare House 2, but other than that it is really well done!

Sorry, But from what I experienced thats due to having a low end pc and a unoptimized mod. Ill be sure to make Aberration part 2 much more optimized so everyone can play it.

I agree with culpepper completely word for word. This was an excelent mod and the cafeteria scare made me fall out of my chair, right when i was getting comfortable! I absolutly loved the gun models and sounds, so original, which in my opinion is the best. Please dont let this die or be a Half-Life 3, and soon as you are done with source forts I would love it if you get beck on this as soon as you get the chance. This has so much potential and I would hate to see it wasted. So good luck, and happy mapping.
Cheers!

DON'T YOU GUYS DARE TL;DR THIS!!!!

HFS! This is a REALLY underrated mod! That was incredible. The foreboding atmosphere was effectively accomplished via powerful color correction a midst a minimalist ambient soundscape! The large dreary corridors added to a despair-inducing sense of isolation, as the player is forced to traverse a seemingly depressing backdrop.

The gunplay was tough, but fair. I especially like how scarce ammo and health is -- it adds to a sense of survival horror. I died on multiple occasions on the massive fight scene, BUT IT WAS NOT FRUSTRATING AT ALL (Played on HARD). It was intense, but balanced -- although I don't know how exactly you pulled it off, it was incredibly satisfying post-fight.

In summary, this mod boasts of incredible design! The authentic scares, the mapping (DAT ARCHITECTURE), the colors, the lighting, the scripting, gameplay elements -- i.e. explosive barrel placement, supplies scarcity, etc... ALL meticulously studied and effectively applied. The custom weapon models and sounds were of a psychological significance too (i.e. the pistol had a more fuller fire sound; I found it more reliable and deadly, regardless of the fact that I know that the stats are unaltered(?).) Also, and this is VERY important, your attention to little details is astounding -- a superior use of stock content. With a simple sound replacement here and there, the mod felt like a completely different game with such little effort.

This was An ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC experience for me. I found myself completely immersed throughout the entirety of the mod. It was short, but definitely not hanging. To the people who are actually reading this. Download the mod. PLAY THE **** OUT OF IT. NAO. This man deserves a medal. GOSH DARN.

I played this and I enjoyed it, not all of it but a good part. 50% of all the rooms felt like a waste though, Just boxes with some props in them. The mapping is good but pretty depressing. Just my personal opinions, the mod is great, can't wait for part 2.

I have to say, I'd be more impressed if there wasn't so much HL2 stuff slathered on the walls, and if there was a suitable soundtrack + custom noises, and custom models for the monsters/zombies.

However, this was a good effort and I liked some of the mind-bender moments.
