The Northern Excursion mod (once called the "Extreme Realism" mod) is a game-enhancement mod that introduces a new faction, the "North American Coalition" (NAC), re-introduces the jet fighter/bomber air vehicle types from Battlefield 2 and also brings back old features which were left out of the original Battlefield 2142 such as stationary machine guns, visual effects, unused voice overs and more.

Thanks to the creation of the North American Coalition light and heavy armoured soldiers, Northern Excursion's first release now seems not that far away.

They removed the old versions because are way far from the thingys you cansee on the photos, it´s like too much different even other mod or game.
hey can somebody help me? for some reason everytime I click on single/ multi player the game would ctd, and when I try to start the mod from vanilla 2142 it goes to black screen of death and I have to restart my PC
Well fro one thing, this mod hasn't even been released yet. I'm no Einstein when it comes to diagnosing problems like this, but more information is needed (error messages, PC specs) for a good diagnosis. Try reinstalling the mod.
wait a second, is this mod expanding from the exterme realism mod that i have right now?
man, i'm sorry for offline on bfeditor, i had some problems. so i can rig soldiers for you, but you will must do new animations as for new weapons and for standart weapons too, cause your models will never have mesh like 2142 vanilla soldiers. please watch the video (bf2 - i have not BF2142 now) there are my bf3 soldier project rigged 1p with bf2 and one 2142 weapons using standart vanilla animations. click here Youtube.com :)
pm me if you want, but keep in your mind - you will be must make new 1p animations and 3p animations too.
p.s. i can add some smoothing for detached hands from 3p model to make them better, but with so much verts 1p model will be harder to rigging. and i can't make new texture for them anyway because i don't know how to.
You should try and contact Jones (Alpha Project [BF2]), if you haven't already, and see if he or someone on his team could help. Their work on Alpha Project is amazing.
I asked him, they're pretty busy for their release of AP. He says he'll be free afterwards, but I'm not too sure when exactly it will be released.
And yes, Alpha Project is an amazing BF2 mod. I can't wait for their release either.
