Hmm can't quite decide whether I like it or if its more flawed than I like it.
+Level design was quite good, interesting I think
+Scares are few but well placed
-Story & readables or lack thereof
-Fairly short
-bad ending

Has a really good set up and has logical placement of keys that doesn't devolve into item hunting. It's got good pacing and pretty good level design. The scares are good, half of which are original the other half unique. So its got things going for it. The story is fairly simple but keeps intrigue so its a trade off. There are some small number of jump scares but nothing out annoying.
There is a sequence that requires button pressing that merely makes you explore well. There is one part that really drags out however, with a monster that does not despawn and you must collect 5 pieces of coal. Its a bit to hard and repetitive in what was otherwise a good mod.
I give it above average for doing everything except story exceptionally well.

To many jump scares, not enough story, not enough gameplay, the level design is decent and keeps things interesting. But we don't really see anything original, just a very bog standard fair of key hunting, being chased and running from a water monster.

I liked so many things about this but then there are some rather obvious flaws.
+The length, pretty long for any mod
+Lovely atmospheric level design
+Scares are few and don't happen until a good 20-25 minutes in so it knows how to build the tension.
+Voice acting
+- the Level design is fairly up there, with going for minimalist but with more dust, dark environments, and more rooms than we typically see. Although for some it can mean wading through a dark a bit more than what is comfortable.
- Story is a little generic but the it makes up for it with the voice acting
- Monster encounters start to increase towards the end, making it a bit more (although I managed to escape everytime) it still felt like it was losing its good pacing.
- The monster in the end while a good showcase for it, the mod doesn't allow you to move meaning the monster ends up getting to close to you before you can move which isn't very nice for any game.

This mod does some things really well, firstly the pacing is quite good. The scares are paced out and rely more on sound, with a few instances of actual incoming monster. Although the level design isn't very memorable but very standardised for the most part, when we go deeper into a prison which is then water, we have a very standard moment here. Then we go into the steam control area and alchemy station. We do some standard run around the place stuff but with a twist. There is a hard puzzle, not the thinking kind but the trial and error one due to no symbols, manuals, numbers to tell you what each valve does.
It takes a considerable part of the CS to finish, about maybe half of the hour it takes to finish. We go back into a mansion and we climb up a castle but it doesn't do anything interesting with that and we have a forgettable ending.

You don't always find a mod like this, but here it is. The best use of the Amnesia assets I've ever seen. Every level has had so much detail put in, that its a feast for the eyes. He somehow manages to make everything look different to anything we've seen in Amnesia. Hes got a gift! It's one of the longest mods I've ever played (the longest mod for Amnesia, beating Lost the Lights by about an hour). The pacing is excellent (the monsters come when you don't expect but also occasionally when you do expect, jump scares are very few but well placed), the puzzles are new (sure you still have to search for stuff) but it feels fresh to find these new items... the atmosphere and use of sound is chilling. It gives every area life and breathes tension eventhough the visuals already do a great job. The only criticism I can think of is the storyline was decent, it keeps things interesting but the readables you find are a bit to predictable and don't shed much light on the state of things. I feel with some professional writers working with this modder could probably make this into a MOTY potential!

great voice and a light hearted humor perfectly fitting for Christmas, although the mod isn't to long it keeps you entertained, and is unique compared to all those other mods out there! The mod is not void of scares either, you'll get some of that in this baby. Plus its christmas, you can't be hating on christmas can you?

A good start, although heavy laden with jump scares and a the story had no time to really cultivate. At the moment it seems like it wants to be the likes of Cthulhu without any of the work needed to make it something like that. At best it can seem like a amatuerish homage, with alot of the standard horror we've seen a million times from Amnesia. If mods like these want to survive they have to start being unpredictable, custom content, and focus more on storyline. The level design is alright in that it hints at a larger level when you enter the library but shows little. The house in the beginning is one excuse to backtrack around the place.

A little disappointing to say the least, I usually have high standards for dream like mods because of how they scream for custom content or being experimental. Like changing reality so that it barely resembles are own, shifting gravity, space and time, and heavy with symbolism. But here we have none of that, just a short romp through the same old same old with a cheesy nightorb thing. Theres a few jump scares, not much to comment on. I would skip this.

Its a good idea, time travel, worm tunnel... your former self leaving behind notes and in theory using it in order to get the player to incorporate tactics to outsmart enemies or avoid environmental dangers you normally would have died against. Except the problem is the scares don't happen, the enemies don't come, and not much really happens by the end.
The mod is of a decent length although the maker tried to artificially inflate the time by making a really difficult to find entrance in the room your not expecting.
