I thought I would go "ranting in my blog" as moddb calls it for the laugh, im an IT student and im still not sure what the point of a blog really is but ahh sure, here it goes anyway...

In the coming months, (hopefully not years, like some people -_-) me and a group of mates are going to hopefully be in development of our own indie project which poses to be an exciting prospect :)
We plan on building our own engine in c# in an effort to sell(on xbox xna), and if its half decent we will see about valve's steam ;)

before people coming along shouting, "i dont want to pay for an indie game, i want it for free" please bear in mind we plan on producing mods and other software projects(not neccesarily games) as freeware, obviously mods fall in that domain anyway but you get the drift, Even indies want to make a little money to keep themselves going you know ;)

This will be one of our maiden projects as a group and hopefully it can help with some college fee's :)
We plan on making a story driven adventure game, reminisent of the style of the origional longest journey, however, our first project might take a while cause i got the short straw and am now designated to leanr moddeling and that sort of stuff :( Were all coders, so this might take a while...

I am really excited at how the indie market has taken off and am happy for the devs that have made it, we aspire to be up there with you someday :)
We plan on doing our own audio, but may plead with some open source artists if were stuck, :P

Anyway thats enough random ranting for now, ill do something else when I finish my current exams :P
