Warhammer 40K Fan Group

IMO Space Marines are THE army for starters, simply because you can do anything with them. They have the gear and the stats to do anything you want, and they're really good at teaching points disciplne too, you quickly learn to only take the gimmicks and wonder weapons that you'll actually use.

After that though, I'd suggest either Orks or Tau, depending on whether you like tightly controlled long ranged battles (Tau), or rough-and-ready, beat-them-until-they-stop-squealing rush tactics (Orks)

choose the one which you like everyone has there own opinouns so it's your choice

If I were to do that, i'd do it on the basis of which looks cooler to me and that may not be the wisest thing to do. I love WWI Germany and Prussia so most likely i would choose Death Korps of Krieg and i don't necessarily know if their harder or easier to play.

Dark Eldar,because they are the only good guys in the Warhammer 40k universe.

Inquisition or Space Marines, due to the inq being OP and the SM just right for newbies.... but I would prefere Chaos, due to the sheer awesomness *______*

i really suggest space marines, it's a perfectly balanced army. it doesn't require much of a tactical intelligence to play with them. go for it!

Space marine are to the best of my knowledge still the race the newbies generally use

I don't play table top yet but i would suggest a race that best fits your play style for me its the Tau, and the Imperial Fist
