Depends, is it an image created in a 3d program without perspective or a drawn image with a 3D perspective?
In that case I suppose it would be OK. If it isn't, trust me, there are plenty of groups for 2D artists =)

Hi, and thanks for the comments, other models I made. The battleship ones are from my Nexus mod Invasion, there are others on the mod page if someone is interested.
Eat3d.com has several DVD's that cater to game design, one specifically for texturing and skinning models. If you've got a few dollars check it out. Very informative and helpful site for all those seeking to further there selves in the 3D world. 3dbuzz.com also offers tutorial for many aspects of game design, art, and engines as well.
