This game engine will be solid for at least another decade. Currently running a custom engine, making a retro inspired RPG. But I will be working as part of a team with UDK next year!
Looking forward to starting work!

Well I hope this won't end up being released with graphics that belong to a console instead of graphics for the P.C, I really hate it when that happens.

Both serve a purpose and are unique to the purpose they serve. A lot of people enjoy both while others will tell you one is better than the other. I've heard that scripting is easier on Unity while others enjoy using UDK because it makes more sense. I myself am a sound designer who's programming if you can call it that is pretty much the same on every engine lol I love both engines, I think the best answer is to try it for yourself and see what you can do!
