We are using UDK for more than 4 years. We also developed commercial and console games using UE3 and now Epic provided evaluation of UE4 and we absolutely love it !!! Imho, it surely game engine that will rock for next 10 years.

Both serve a purpose and are unique to the purpose they serve. A lot of people enjoy both while others will tell you one is better than the other. I've heard that scripting is easier on Unity while others enjoy using UDK because it makes more sense. I myself am a sound designer who's programming if you can call it that is pretty much the same on every engine lol I love both engines, I think the best answer is to try it for yourself and see what you can do!
