This group is still active, yes? I was wondering if they had done any work similar to the Skirmisher. It is a great tool, but I feel it could be expanded. However, I have no modding ability whatsoever.

Yes, we are still very active. I recommend you to visit Arparso.de . There, you can find many interesting tools in development and their betas.

Hi,
I just bought the game from amazon.uk.
After installing the game form the cd 1 and cd 2 i have patched it with the 1.01 patch.
When i want to start the game i get the message:Cannot locate the CD-ROM. Please insert the correct

CD-ROM, select OK and restart.

I have inserted both the CD 1 and CD 2, but it didn't work.
Tried the compatibility mode, win xp sp 2.

See compatibility mode for older programs to run win win 7 but using older windows as win xp.

(google)

Did not work either.

System specs: Win 7 ultimate, 64 bit, 6 gb ram, HD 4890.

I have searched the web for a sollution, alas without reslut.

Please help, any suggestions. Really want to play this game.

Since you own the game, it is perfectly legal to use a no-cd crack, try that, it should eliminate your problems.

Hey guys. I need some help and theres no better place then all the modders from Nexus. xD

Im trying to convert some ships from Nexus to Freelancer for my own use, using Milkshape 3d. I have all the plugins and have figured out alot of the basics(i think) But i cant figure out the textures. Milkshape doesnt accept the .tex files and i tried a suggestion i read on a form of taking a picture of the ship with the mod tools and photoshoping it. Can you guys give me any hints or pointers.

Thank you guys in advanced and keep up the great work. You make it look easy. And ive only scratched the surface.

Hey there CKYRules,

Always good to see interest in Nexus. Try visiting here, Arparso made a tool for converting Nexus's .tex format back to .tga files.

For the mod tools I get:

Assertion failed.

File:utypes.cpp
Line:416

Expression: !pcnts[mj]||Universe->Slots.Usage[mj]==2

For the skirmisher I get the normal go tell Microsoft message... so I have no idea what the skirmishers problem is.

Edit: Actually I might know what the problem with the mod tools is I'm going to try it later... If I am right its because I accidentally put more then 2 uses to 1 slot.

Agreed, one of your modified models needs a little re-editing. Hopefully, that'll clear up the skirmisher too.

I just went through my whole tacticstypes.ini and cleaned up the ships, but I still get the error... As far as me messing with the models I only changed textures on them if anything.
