Well the new era on the T90 was made specificaly against american m829a3 sabot rounds and the T90 can fire it's 4 atgms further than the abrams can even target, it's a much smaller, harder to hit. And the abrams haves no active protection when everyone else does. I'd place my bet on the T90.

of course on t90,no other way...long time ago i erased abrams from my tank list,leopard2,merkava,t90 theese are tanks...

It is a bit radioactive, but it wont kill you, but when the tank gets hit and du starts pouring out or catches fire, its classified as nuclear waste, hence why rad teams all way from america are called in to salvage abrams wrecks and then dig them with nuclear waste somewhere in the desert...

There are some combat reports and tanker stories about some atgm hitting the front armor and white smoke coming out of it, the crew had to bail, because another shot would have set it on fire.

I'm just curious about this because the closest possible reference to DU catching fire was this.

But that was about ammuntion. It almost seems more likely that the abrams you're talking about was HIT by a DU round.

I can't find a source now but it was definately hit by some newer russian atgm.

But all of this is irrelevant as Russia and America are best buddies right now lol.

From T90 to nuclear waste to countrys.. quite the argument

Those Iraqi T72's were simple watered down polish export copies, like 20% of what the real T72 was back then. The Iraqi asad babil tank was pretty much a carbon copy of the crappy export version t72, what do you expect, it's like exporting abrams with no electronics, old munitions, weakest possible configuration and putting it up against latest T90m's.

I don't know what kind are Iraq's T-72, but I've heard a lot that they used old munitions. One thing is for sure it's much easier to find and kill a tank when a satellite scan is giving your everything about enemies.
