Description
This is not a political clip. Please keep that stuff out of here. I thought you guys might like it though. It's a pretty intense video. Those T-72s take the RPGs like a boss.
P.S. I probably would have crapped my pants when I saw that turret turn towards the camera through the smoke from that first RPG hit...

at 03:15 theres a dude behind the first tank, wonder what happened to him after the RPG hit.
T-72 has strong frontal body and turret armor. They were probaly hit with "PG-7V" or maybe with "PG-7VL" If they were hit with "PG-7VR" I doubt they would survive it. But T-72 was and always will be an awesome MBT.
holy **** after each hit the tank stops for some time i guess the crew really do feel the blast in those T-72s.
Guys that is only the T-72A, which eon older than the other versions !!!
That old Dolly-Parton composite armor and 1e ERA gen. tiles are doing good job still !
I saw a video of a T-72A take a serious hit from an RPG-29 at the back of its turret, but I think it didn't survive, at least the turret didn't pop-out like the old Iraqi T-72 clones. A lot of fire came out from the back and than some ammo cook-off happen and than that is all.
Iraqis had three types of T-72s, Russian "monkey version" T-72 were they lacked a lot of things, Iraqi copies of the Monkey version T-72s made out of spare parts bought from other countries, and finally home-made T-72s called "Assad el Babil", which are copies of the copied Monkey version T-72s (these were the ones that had their turrets fly into the air).
It was safe to say the Assad el Babil tanks were horrible, and gave a bad name to actual T-72s (edit: All of the Iraqi T-72s gave the real T-72s a bad name).
Yes that is absolutly true !
