Join the Social Modding Club where we plan events to play some of the great mods of our time, both old and new. The goal of this group is to allow members to easily plan and schedule events for gamers to play together. Moddb.com and Desura allow anyone to easily find, download, install, and update mods. This is the perfect place to setup a group with a forum that pulls gamers together so we can all enjoy the fruits of everyone's labor.

My hope is that this will allow gamers to experience some of the amazing online mods that don't always have a large user base. I plan to have regularly scheduled events to keep this group active and a forum that will support users posting their own events or requests for gaming. Please join the group and enjoy the pleasures of playing mods with friends!

Hey, would be fun if you get something going. I'll try to be available for this event. Depending on the geographical location of the attending users, you might want to host a server at a better spot than the 3 that are hosted by us (currently stationed in Sweden). The Swedish servers have temporarily been re-located during the summer so they might give abit higher latency than usual. It doesn't have to be a dedicated, just for someone with a decent upload bandwidth to create a game just as you're about to play. For some more info on how to create a server and some basic server console commands, see: Forum.celestialimpact.com

Oh, and make sure you get the 1.1 or 1.1b version, there are still several connection attempts each day made by people running the old non-supported 1.0 version.

Hey JustMe...
I would love to play some Celestial Impact, I think I want to use that for my next event which I have been MAJORLY slacking on. Sorry about that everyone, summertime is busy for me :)

Back on point, I'll check the CI forums and try to connect with you. Also I'll definitely use the game for my next event.

Hey reybag,
To be honest I have played so many games/mods since then that I don't remember enough to provide good feedback. I will check out the game again soon and will either PM or post on your moddb page my impressions and feedback.

* I know one of the members 'weasil' was the person who suggested it and seemed to play it a lot. So he may be someone you may want to reach out to for detailed impressions :)

a sugestion if you are gonna play lbz ,do it online and set power level (pl) min 500 max 1000 thats the config good players use, lots of people play 2000 4000 buts that for noobs,500 1000 is where you notice the balance that the game have and it really need to have skills there :D

if you find me in chat ,i will teach you all you need to know to be the best, you will be amaze at the deep that lbz gameplay can be

and of course play lbz alpha version :D,you will find it a moddb page ,its last lbz version

The neotokyo game request section in the forum is locked, does that mean that neotokyo is no longer an option for a weekend event?

P.S. Downloading the Hidden as fast as I can!

Hey ghostings,
Thanks for the heads up about the forum thread! For some reason all the forum threads are locked even though I didn't set them that way?! Pretty odd so I have unlocked them all for general use as intended. My idea for the forums was really to have a place where gamers and members of this group can request for fellow gamers to join them whenever. Its not really for the official weekend events but you can always post in the Suggestions/Requests thread for future official events (which was locked but is now open thanks to your notification). I stopped checking the forums since it didn't seem like many were using them but maybe that was because they were all mysteriously locked ;) I'll be checking them more often again!
