lol@ the "millions of buttons" comment.
Most pc games require WASD (or arrow keys), spacebar, shift, control, and the 1-5 keys, as well as left and right click.
That's pretty much 10 buttons besides the directional ones for your average game. The Xbox 360 controller has 8 buttons (LB, RB, LT, RT, ABXY) besides direction keys.
Some games, however, do require "millions of buttons" if you choose.
I play World of Warcraft PVP competitively, I use R,G,F,X,Z,Q,E Shift+R,G,F,X,Z,Q,E, 1-5, shift+1-5, and alt+1-5. And that's only if you want to play the game without ever having to click anything.

Theres a group for this!? Hey, are PETs allowed? or do they need to be on a leash?
You are definitely right the fact that my PC has 'millions' of buttons and God forbid sometimes more than I need means it is terrible for gaming.
You sir are a gaming hardware design genius. I am blowing up my PC right now. From now on I'll only play games on my 11 Gamecubes.
I actually do have 11 Gamecubes but only three work at the moment.
this comment shows your tremendous stupidity quite well. I am thinking of deleting it for your well sake yet its quite hilarious so I leave it here to amuse me.
ever heard of connecting a controller to a pc? ever heard of connecting a mouse and keyboard to a console (dreamcast ftw) that breaks your only argument quite well.
sony makes a mouse for the ps3. my friend has one.
then why are you in the PC gamers group? wait... i think i already know the answer
I feel that a PC is the superior gaming machine. With the so called "millions of buttons" you mention it makes for a much more versatile and immersive gaming experience and increases in precision. With a mouse you can adjust DPI and movement speeds, and with a good keyboard you can create macros to do a myriad of in game tasks, if supported of course. With a controller on a console all you really do is pick which button you want to do what and then you are still limited with how many actions you can truly perform because a controller has a very small number of buttons and interaction capabilities.
I am also perplexed at your statement; as you mod PC games...
