Development of new locations in the game MaPA 3 alpha
This week, I tell you how the monster generator creates the various forms of the monsters, and show you the results.
This week, I explain how the colors for the randomly generated monsters are selected.
While people are playing with the current update, I have of course already started work on the next one; this week, I tell you about it!
Version 2.1 is being released. It is up and just waiting approval from the awesome Desura team.
nice to be in a group full of like minded people, good luck with what ever it is you are working on. 8)
Nice to be around you, people !
I'm a game trainer, but I am now starting to develop my own indie / pro games.
I will try to let you know my updates of the process. In the mean time, I will be close to yours.
Keep having a wonderful one!
Success with courage,
BIND greets the rest!
Our indie game company BIND just joined to the Desura forces! Nice to see so many cool projects and devs from various places and in various stages of game development. We just soft launched our first PC-game called Whack 'em Earthling! here. I invite all of you to take part in my soft launch thread found from Desura Cosmos forums.

Version 1.2.9 of AoA is up and the Prototype for the Treasure and Dungeon Scenes are included. We need you to test it before their final release, in Ver. 1.3.0. Some feed back from you our players would be epic, because once we go with this style of in game questing we are going to stick with it.
Why our questing system is different? Well frankly we were bored of the triditional RTS MMO quest systems, where the quest was only doing a few things in the main game nothing more. Sure we have that but we took it a step further and built seperate 3rd person mini games. Our reasoning behind this style of questing in RTS MMO is simple... No one wants to play nice with others all the time, right. Every once in a while you want to do your own thing and that's when this questing system comes in. A simple quick game. Heck, some people don't like playing in other peoples sand boxes at all, but they do like to build castles and villages. If these players dont want to interact with others and keep to themselves, thats fine. But we as the game developers need to provide them with an alternate avenue that allows them to earn and play the game equally as the others. That is where our questing system comes in.
Also who doesn't like to run around and hack up monsters?
Please check us out. We are building a game that will be around for a long time to come. The game can be downloaded at armiesofalamar.com and hopefully will be supported here on Desura in the very near future.
Cool I get to be the 1000 member! Does that imbue me with super powers of some sort?
I run Gamesare studios our game Vincere Totus Astrum a casual 4x strategy game has been recently welcomed into the Desura community! I am also vp of US Operations for Clickteam the company behind the game dev tool Multimedia Fusion 2 and mor recently Clickteam Fusion 2.5! let me know if you guys have any questions or if I can be of service!
Hello everyone, first off I've just got a little 'continual runner' game accepted to Desura, and they are adding it to their Free Friday pack on the 24th... so if anyone wants to take a look and let me know what you think I would be grateful.
Secondly I have a question/request. I've got a longer term project that has evolved from a bit of an experiment into a budding engine that takes parts from old-style top-down RPG games and good old fashioned text-adventures and mixes them up to make a text and joypad entry system.
Now this may sound odd, but I think I am getting somewhere with the coding. What I would like to know is if anyone can point me in the direction of a good text-adventure (interactive fiction) development site or forum. I've had a look myself but couldn't find any active development forums, only download sites and reader/user communities.
Do text-adventure development communities still exist?
