The Humble Indie Bundles or Humble Bundles are a series of game bundling experiments that allow users to purchase collections of multi-platform DRM-free independently developed video games online in a "Pay what you want" manner, with proceeds bypassing middlemen and going directly to the indie developers and charities.

Seven epic games. Seven new cross-platform, DRM-free games down your digital chimney.

Posted by hero1900 on Dec 13th, 2011

Seven epic games. We're ready to drop seven new cross-platform, DRM-free games down your digital chimney. Bandage your fingertips and prepare your mind for the challenges of Super Meat Boy, Shank, Jamestown, Bit.Trip Runner, and NightSky. If you pay more than the average price, you'll also get two massive, well-loved indie favorites: Cave Story+ and Gratuitous Space Battles.

Pay what you want. If you bought these games separately, it would cost around $100.

The games work great on Mac, Windows, and Linux (system requirements here). Please note that this is the initial release of seven Linux builds, so please be patient while 1.0 issues are fixed.

Time left to buy the latest bundle:

On twitter they explained: "We are supporting @redcross this time due to a close vote among the HIB4 developers, @eff should return in future promotions though"

Thinking about it, it might be a good idea for them to include both of them in the next one. :P

Off-topic: Like many others, I too am hoping for Desura keys even though, unfortunately, I won't be beating the average price this time. Too short on cash at the moment, but you've got to go with what you can get, right? ;)

The indies must first add their games to desura, so that humble can deliver desura keys.

i'm sure that both desura and humble are already trying to talk with then to add desura support... so no need to spam them! :)

Honestly, yeah. Desura. I like steam fine for windows, but I live most of my life happily in linux land and Desura works fantastically well there. Honestly, without linux games I wouldn't be very interested in these humble bundles and Desura is the new way to play games on linux. Hopefully desura keys will show up in a little but likey they did last time :)

My thoughts exactly. I pretty much stopped buying games that aren't on Desura, but I buy the HIBs either way to support what they're doing for Linux gaming.

Getting on Desura is really up to the developers, as I learned with the Humble Introversion Bundle. IV stated that the deal they made with Desura was the fastest publishing deal they ever did. I was quite surprised they pulled it off before the bundle ended. I tripled my total for that.

NightSky & Gratuitous Space Battles are already here on Desura.

This is the issue, people are quick to get on to the HiB and Desura guys, but it is too much effort to do what will actually get the games on Desura... contact the GAME devs.

Team Meat have already written back to me to say they aren't putting Super Meat Boy on Desura...

the other dev contact details are here, though:

No key for Super Meat Boy?! Man that sucks. I won't be buying any Humble Bundles in the future then if we can't get any Desura keys. I hate having to manually install patches. I didn't have to do it on Windows and I don't want to do it on Linux.

I've contacted several of the developers regarding Desura keys (and posted on some of their blogs). I suggest other Desura users do the same!

Do not pester them, though. It is a new world for them, and they need to be convinced that their awesome players are the ones that want the keys (not the loser "buy steam keys for a penny so I can win some dumb *** contest" sorts of users), you know... the ones the above average customers that beat the average!

Like most of us :-)
