The Humble Indie Bundles or Humble Bundles are a series of game bundling experiments that allow users to purchase collections of multi-platform DRM-free independently developed video games online in a "Pay what you want" manner, with proceeds bypassing middlemen and going directly to the indie developers and charities.

I published this retrospective look at the past 10 Humble Bundle promotions a couple of months back, but just realised I hadn't posted it here:

I honestly prefer humble bundles over the others, they tend to have a better game selection and I kinda like steam acheivments,(even though they do nothing) they can sometimes add a little extra content for those willing to try for them (or those unwilling to give up playing a previously beaten game)

Well, but the Desura's bundle does not support Linux, therefore it is inferior :)

it's not really "giving away" I prefer desura-keys because I can manage all my games at a central place. without desura-keys I have to download installers, and install all additional libaries myself, it's not that of a big deal, but desura-keys are a lot easier to handle. either way I get to play the game, with or without key so it's only a matter of user-service.
