When did Lancer's Reactor go defunct?
I think it is still up & running. I just checked and it seems to be fine. Perhaps they were down for maintenance at some point?
I was thinking of doing a redone version of Discovery, naming it by another name, however, I want to know about models I could use as replacements for certain ships, find some people to make a replacement model with a concept, and maybe some help with figuring out some things to iron out. Also adds new factions that somewhat resemble how the factions are in Freelancer, with a RP thats not over-the-top Text Rping of Governed Player Faction(s)(GPF). I would need a forum to explain every aspect of what Im thinking here. Since the stuff in Discovery is used in other games and third party, it all works out. Again, need a forum to further explain.
Why not do something original instead of basing it on someone else's vision? The beauty of modding is that the options are virtually limitless
I can see why someone would want to use disco as a template for a new mod, they've done tons of world building and development. In fact, disco's main problem is the narrow minded roleplay found on the populated server. All the player factions demand ridiculous concessions from devs such as a full capital line for their minor faction. Haven't been there in a while but I'd be shocked if Farmers Alliance doesn't have a custom capital fleet on par with the navy's by now.
