ea is converting almost all their franchises to f2p(p2w) (BF4 Crysis 4, Sims and so on)
Until they explain why C&C is an unique exception in ea's pay to win plan i'm not buying this not pay 2 win bs.
yea.
im not going to buy anything before i know its good.
i fear for the worst after C&C 4.
I got a very bad feeling concerning the new C&C looking at these SimCity DLCs. Not to mention that server problems are very likely with all their negative points like loosing your saves since there is no local data.

Pay 10 euros for only a special building some special skins and transportation.
I can see the concern around the DLC portion, but when it comes to the always on DRM we can compare C&C and Sim City.
With Sim City:
It's singleplayer. Online DRM makes no sense.
It's not free to play, you've paid fully for the game. Again, online DRM is not needed.
It takes HOURS to build cities, if you lose that data or have it rolled back, that basically ruins everything.
With C&C:
It's free to play, always on DRM kinda makes sense for a free to play, you need to be online to potentially buy things to fund and support the game.
C&C has single player, but multiplayer is also a core element of any RTS, unlike Sim City.
I'm pretty sure C&C games don't last several hours, losing data or roll backs is going to suck, but it isn't as bad as it would be in Sim City.
Am I the only one somewhat worried about the next generals game?
I'm not really worried about it.
I bet everybody is more or less worried, but let's hope for the best.
Well...
If I like the result, I will play. If I don´t, simply nothing in my life will change.
I'm excited.
