I think I may have made a mistake, the first anime that I ever watched (unless both Avatar shows count)was Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood, and it was so dang good that I am having trouble finding more animes to watch. Although Death Note is quite good so far.
I like Hellsing, Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, and Elfen Lied. all of these have plenty of action, violence and a great story.
