Pretty, balanced, smooth gameplay, fun. Pity it has such small playerbase - deserves much better.

One of the most exciting fast paced shooters. I was a huge Quake 3 Arena fan but I don't really like Quake Live. With Xonotic, I have the same feeling I had on Quake3. On this game, you need to train and practise hard because the level is very high, it's motivating.
All the videos show some awesome tricks and shots. Xonotic also works on GNU/Linux and *BSD (maybe the best FPS on those OSes). Finally, the Nexuiz fork was a good idea and it gave so many new changes (it's like a reborn). Install it NOW!

The best FPS I have seen! It doesn't only have good multiplayer, like other FPS, but an even better singleplayer to train you. It's very fast paced and has great controls (not to mention great music). It's really good.

love the game! i am playing on a powerful laptop running desura and linux mint 13 and it runs witiout any lag and game load times are nearly instant (unlike tf2). weapons are completely different from one another which i think adds a lot of variety other than "pick assault rifle win".
my only complaints are low population on multiplayer (saw about 20ppl total online) and the inability to create custiom single player games(i would like to make custom single player games so i can mess around and learn their layouts/rules/weapons/etc).
